Learners are assigned a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) upon therapy registration. Pebblebrook BCBAs are board-certified independent practitioners who specialize in the scientific application of ABA for the effective treatment of Autism. BCBAs are responsible for clinical interviews, learner assessments and evaluations, data analysis, medical necessity determinations, treatment and intervention planning, progress monitoring and program adjustments, parent training, and comprehensive supervision of RBTs. BCBAs are also responsible for conducting consultations with other treatment professionals.
Learners are assigned one or more Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) upon therapy registration. Pebblebrook RBTs implement ABA programs and services as prescribed by the BCBA. They perform ABA services under the direct and ongoing supervision of the BCBA. Each supervising BCBA is responsible for the work performed by the RBT. RBTs spend time pairing with each learner prior to initiating interventions, which aids in developing a fun, happy, and productive therapeutic relationship.
